We install at the marina, on a dry dock, or in your driveway — wherever your boat lives. On-cradle windows worked out with the yard, no truck-and-trailer hassle, no waiting for a slot in someone else's shop. Your boat doesn't move.

Most installs land between $1,500 and $8,000 depending on coverage area, custom routing, and artwork. A swim platform on a smaller boat runs $1,500–$3,000. A full cockpit + helm pads on a 30–50ft cruiser is closer to $4,000–$8,000. Custom inlays, logos, and full-sheet laser patterning add to the range. Every quote is built around your boat — fill in the form at the top of the page and Kal calls back within one business day with honest options and a real number.
A swim-platform install typically takes 4–6 hours on the boat. A full cockpit + helm pads is a one- to two-day job. We work on a cradle when the yard schedule allows, or in the slip if your marina permits it. Most jobs are scheduled in a single window so your boat doesn't sit half-done — we show up, prep, cut, bond, and finish the edges in one visit.
No. SeaDek uses an acrylic-based pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) — the same family of adhesive used on automotive trim. It bonds firmly when installed correctly but can be removed without damaging the underlying gel coat or paint. We surface-prep with isopropyl alcohol before bonding and run the adhesive at full pressure to avoid bubbles or edge lift.
SeaDek sells DIY kits and many owners do install them. Where pro installation pays off is on custom-cut work — pattern alignment across seams, triple-lamination edges, custom routing, and inlaid logos. Hand-cut, on-boat installs also avoid the trial-and-error fit issues common with pre-cut kits. If your install is straightforward (swim pad on a smaller boat, no custom shapes), a DIY kit may suit you. For full-cockpit work or anything with custom patterning, we'll save you the headache and the second attempt.
Properly installed SeaDek lasts 10+ years on most boats. UV-protected materials hold colour for the life of the install. The non-skid surface stays grippy in salt and freshwater alike. We've replaced installs that were 12–15 years old and still functional — owners typically replace for cosmetic updates or boat resale rather than wear failure.
Yes. SeaDek is removable using a heat gun + plastic scraper. The PSA softens with heat and lifts cleanly. Residual adhesive comes off with isopropyl alcohol or SeaDek's adhesive remover. If you're selling your boat or want to refresh the look, removal is straightforward — no damage to the underlying surface when done correctly.
Yes. SeaDek is closed-cell EVA foam — it doesn't absorb water and is unaffected by salt, fresh water, or chlorine. The material was originally developed for offshore fishing and tournament bass boats. Our service area is freshwater (Georgian Bay, Lake Simcoe, Muskoka), but the product is rated for any marine environment.
We come to your boat. Wherever it lives — at the marina, on a dry dock at the yard, or in your driveway — that's where we install. There's no truck-and-trailer hassle, no waiting for a slot in someone else's shop. We coordinate the cradle window with your yard and show up ready to work. Service area covers Collingwood, Meaford, Midland, Penetanguishene, Parry Sound, Barrie, Innisfil, Orillia, Beaverton, and across Muskoka.
